Welcome to The Family Village Guide. By accessing or using this website (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What we provide

The Site offers (a) a free, informational directory of family-related resources across Dallas–Fort Worth that lists third-party businesses, organizations, and public places, and (b) digital products (downloadable parenting guides) sold under the Parents Declassified brand, fulfilled through our store provider.

2. The directory is informational — verify independently

Listings are provided for general information only. They are compiled from public data sources and may be incomplete, outdated, or contain errors. We are not affiliated with, and do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee, any listed business, provider, or place. Inclusion is not a referral or a warranty of quality, licensing, safety, or availability. Always verify hours, credentials, insurance, pricing, and other details directly with the business or provider before relying on them or visiting.

3. Not professional advice

Nothing on the Site — including listings, blurbs, scores, and our parenting guides — is medical, dental, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified professional. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. The "Family Village Score" and badges, where shown, are editorial conveniences derived from available data and do not certify any provider.

4. Third-party links, businesses, and ads

The Site links to and displays third-party websites, businesses, and advertisements (including via Google AdSense). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, services, or privacy practices. Your dealings with any third party — including any business you find through the directory or any advertiser — are solely between you and that third party.

Digital guides are delivered electronically through our store/checkout provider. Because they are downloadable digital goods delivered immediately, sales are generally final; any refund or satisfaction terms shown at checkout govern your purchase. Prices and availability may change.

The Site's design, brand, original text, and guides are owned by The Family Village Guide and protected by law. Listing data is sourced from public datasets: provider data from the CMS NPI Registry (public domain) and place data © OpenStreetMap contributors (used under the Open Database License). These remain subject to their respective licenses and attribution requirements.

8. Suggesting edits & corrections

If you spot an error or want a listing updated or removed, contact us (Section 12). If you submit content or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive right to use them to maintain the directory.

9. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Family Village Guide and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the Site, reliance on any listing, or dealings with any third party found through the Site.

We may update the Site and these Terms at any time; continued use means you accept the changes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
