The Family Village Guide ("we," "us," "our") operates a Dallas–Fort Worth family resource directory and sells digital parenting guides under the Parents Declassified brand. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Information you provide

Search inputs. When you search the directory, you enter a category and a zip code or city. We use these only to compute and display nearby results.
Email address. If you sign up for a free resource or newsletter, we collect the email you submit.
Contact messages. If you email us or submit a "suggest an edit" request, we receive what you send.

Information collected automatically

Approximate location (only if you allow it). If you tap "Use my location," your browser may share your approximate coordinates to find nearby resources. We use this in your browser to compute distance and do not store your precise location on our servers.
Usage and device data. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools may log standard data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring page.

2. How we use information

To operate the directory and return relevant nearby listings.
To deliver digital products, free resources, and email you requested.
To maintain, secure, and improve the site and understand which content is useful.
To display advertising (see Section 4) and measure its performance.
To comply with legal obligations.

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure traffic, and (where enabled) serve and measure ads. 5. Where our listing data comes from

Directory listings are compiled from publicly available sources, including the CMS National Provider Identifier (NPI) Registry (a public-domain U.S. government dataset of licensed healthcare providers) and OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database License), plus public city-park data and well-known public business listings. Listings are informational only. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, licensing status, or suitability, and inclusion is not an endorsement. Always verify details directly with the business or provider before relying on them.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with service providers who help us run the site (hosting, email, analytics, advertising) under agreements that limit their use of it, and we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

7. Children's privacy

This site is intended for parents and caregivers (adults). It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your choices and rights

You can decline location sharing and still use the directory by typing a zip or city.
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time via the link in any message.
You can control cookies and opt out of personalized ads as described above.
Depending on where you live (e.g., California or the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us to make a request.

9. Data retention & security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
